The Hands Ministry distributes free food, clothing, and other items to Pasadena-based families in need. Our purpose is to provide as much help as we can to people who need it. All of the people involved in our organization are unpaid volunteers. We strive to keep overhead costs minimal so as to maximize the money spent directly on supplies going to people in need.

Microsoft Authorized Refurbisher

We are also a Microsoft Authorized Refurbisher.   We supply used computers at little or no cost to families and other non-profit organizations.

The Hands Ministry is a group of Christians who believe that we should help people in need; we believe we are hands that can and will help. We have seen people in our church, in our neighborhood, and in Pasadena who could use a “hand.”

Our name, "The Hands” comes from the verse which has inspired us, "For the poor will never cease out of the land: therefore I command you, you will open wide your hands to your brother, to your needy, and to the poor in your land. (Deuteronomy 15:11) We have seen the people in our church, in our neighborhood, and in our city who could use a “hand.”   We believe we could be the “hands” that can and will help.

Christmas 2009

Once again we were able to help provide brand new toys for the 150 children living near the Colman James Learning Center. This was our third year participating in this event. This year we provided food and candy while doing face painting, ornament making, and of coarse pictures with Santa.

Thanksgiving 2009

For the last three years we have provided free turkeys to families in need. This year by November 24st we had given away 120 turkeys. We thank God for making this possible. Once again God has provided more than we asked for. We believe Philippians 4:19 (God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus)

Easter 2008

The usual basket ball game was replaced by an obstacle course and Easter egg hunt. Fun was had by all. The older kids competed for the fastest time in the obstacle course and the younger kids hunted for 400 Easter eggs filled with candy, toys or cash.

We provide free food & clothes once a month to families in need.

We are at Coleman James Learning Center in Pasadena on the fourth Saturday every month from 9am to 11am.
